The Soul of Tina is a musical tribute to a great artist. This tribute show presents the best of over 50 years of Tina Turner - from the beginnings in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue with songs like "River Deep Mountain High" and "Proud Mary" to her unforgettable solo hits like "Simply The Best" and "Private Dancer"! Singer Tess D. Smith, who became famous as the front act for "The Commodores", brings the greatest hits of an extraordinary and strong woman to the stage - authentically, with fiery passion and an explosive live performance.
For many years, Tess D. Smith has been delighting audiences with her irrepressible temperament and her unique raspy voice. The entertainer began her career in the Philippines as a dancer and choreographer for major musicals and television shows. When her singing talent was discovered, however, she became the front act for "The Commoderes" on their "Nightshift Asia Tour" and from that point on traveled around the globe with the band as a singer and dancer. Tess D. Smith is at home in many genres, whether pop, rock, soul or R'n'B, and has already performed on stage with stars such as Janet Jackson, Xavier Naidoo and Uwe Ochsenknecht.
In the show The Soul of Tina, Tess D. Smith shows her overwhelming stage presence and brings the original back to the stage. Together with five top-class musicians, three backing vocals and four dancers, she takes the audience on a journey through five decades of music history and presents the many musical facets of a fascinating artist.
