Between the early 70s and mid-80s, a music culture emerged that is still considered one of the most iconic and influential to this day: the disco and funk era. It was the era of sparkling mirror balls, clubs like the legendary Studio 54, platform shoes, neon colors, and an incomparable spirit of musical optimism.

Musically, this era was characterized by driving bass lines, funky guitars, powerful brass sections, and powerful vocals. Artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, Donna Summer, Chic, KC & The Sunshine Band, Diana Ross, Gloria Gaynor, Boney M, Bee Gees and many others created an impressive series of dance floor classics that continue to define global party culture to this day.
